The Northwest Inland Writing Project presents: 2009 Invitational Summer Institute July 6 – July 31, 2009We invite you to apply to the Northwest Inland Writing Project’s 2009 Invitational Summer Institute, to be held on the campus of the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. The Northwest Inland Writing Project has been dedicated to improving the teaching of writing in Idaho and Washington schools for nearly thirty years. With its primary focus on academic literacy, NIWP’s Invitational Summer Institute is the centerpiece of the writing project’s work with teachers and administrators. Each summer, NIWP brings together K-college teachers and administrators in all subject areas to share knowledge and experience about how writing can be taught and used in classrooms. For the 2009 Invitational Summer Institute, NIWP is seeking twelve qualified participants. Applications will be reviewed in April, 2009 and successful applicants will be notified by May 1, 2009. If you are interested in applying for the 2009 NIWP Invitational Summer Institute, please complete the application process on the back of this letter. Participation in the Invitational Summer Institute is a commitment to additional participation in future NIWP continuity programs and/or leadership of future professional development workshops.
